MINDELHEIMER MUSEEN I CORPORATE DESIGN

NEW APPEARANCE OF THE MUSEUMS OF MINDELHEIM

Museums are the memory of the cultural heritage of our society with an educational and experiential mission and have to attract the attention of their audience again and again. The level of awareness and a high recognition value of the museum help and depend to a large extent on a concise and unmistakable appearance.
The regionally well-known brand of museums has been further developed in terms of content and visuals, and the thematically very different museums are visually united under one roof. The new corporate design of the Mindelheim museums creates the visual link between the individual museums and the sender is identified with clear, factual typography and graphic elements. The external appearance, which strikingly combines tradition and modernity, will also be adjusted.

MUSEEN IM COLLEG I TEXTILE MUSEUM

interactive stations – museum to “touch”

The Textile Museum was opened in 1986 to make the rich collections of Prof. Hilda Sandtner accessible to the public in a museum presentation. Hilda Sandtner’s wish was to found an art and educational meeting place with changing exhibitions. Since 2016, on the second floor, in the subject areas “Fashion.Art.Crafts” and “Art. Fabric” extensive textiles, as well as high-quality artistic handicrafts and valuable fabrics are shown. Visitors can test their manual skills at hands-on stations.

MUSEEN IM COLLEG I CARL MILLNER-GALERIE

CARL MILLNER GALLERY – LANDSCAPE DREAMS OF ROMANCE

With the purchase of a painting by Carl Millner in the 1970s, the city of Mindelheim laid the foundation for today’s extensive collection of works by this important landscape painter of the Munich School. The redesign of the Carl Millner Gallery in 2018 took into account many new findings and with an extensive collection of paintings, watercolours, drawings and sketches, Carl Miller is portrayed and, above all, Carl Millner as a person is visually comprehensible.
